Data Analyst & Spreadsheet Specialist, Mac required

Mercor is looking for data analysts and spreadsheet specialists with 2–3 years of experience, or currently enrolled postgraduate students in a quantitative field, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. Remote contract work at $50–$60/hr, part-time (approximately 10–20 hours per week), with an immediate start preferred.

You will complete and narrate real data analysis and spreadsheet tasks on your own Mac, creating high-quality training data that helps benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Requirements: you must own a MacBook or Mac (Apple M-series or Intel) running macOS 15 or higher; applicants without a Mac cannot be considered. Advanced Excel, Numbers and/or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, charts, data cleaning, financial or operational models); currently pursuing or recently completed a master's, or 2–3 years of relevant experience plus a bachelor's; the ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work; excellent written and verbal communication. SQL, Python/R or BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) are a plus.
