What is a migrant tutor?
A migrant tutor is a position where you are tutoring students in their homes or school, students ages 3 - 21 who are underserved. This position requires an outgoing, positive attitude, with a willingness to work in a wide variety of locations. Being bilingual is helpful but not required.
The duties of the Migrant Tutor will include but not be limited to the following:
●Work under the direction of the Cooperative Director, Migrant State Director and Migrant Program Specialist.
●Work with students individually or in groups; 3 years thru 21 years of age.
●Work in collaboration with school personnel, (counselors, secretaries, etc.) and families to best serve the students.
●Obtain training and information to remain current of the Migrant Education Program requirements and standards.
●Provide Out of School Youth instructional support in Reading, GED & Life Skills.
●Follow NWA Education Service Cooperative policies and procedures, as well as the State and Federal guidelines in all aspects of job performance.
●Maintain ethical standards of professional practice including confidentiality in all matters related to cooperative business.
●Complete all forms, reports, surveys, and other required documentation in an accurate, timely manner and keep such information organized in order to achieve positive job performance.
●Utilize technology as required to promote efficient, effective program operations.

Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4pm
Friday, 8am - 3:30pm
